I've been working on HOTS Hosts for months — a Windows hosts file editor with parental controls, a telemetry/privacy module, and malware diagnostics built in. Free, open source (GPLv3), no ads or telemetry. A while back I also built a smaller sibling, HOTS Hosts Lite — same core editor, but stripped down to hosts file lock, a custom domain blocklist, saved profiles, and per-app firewall blocking. No parental control or privacy stack. Genuinely curious which one people gravitate toward. If you just want a solid hosts editor with a couple of extras, does the full version feel like overkill?
