Social security, welfare fund board pension distribution from September 24 - The HinduUpdated - September 23, 2026 11:01 pm IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAMThe State government will begin the distribution of social security and welfare fund board pensions for September from Thursday, Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan’s office said. The Finance department has sanctioned ₹1,068.79 crore for both categories of pensions. ₹957.93 crore has been sanctioned for the social security pensions, and ₹110.86 crore for welfare fund board pensions.In the case of the social security pensions, ₹531.62 crore will be deposited directly in the bank accounts of beneficiaries. Pension money totalling ₹426.30 crore will be distributed to homes via primary cooperative credit societies, the Finance department order said.
