Case registered against 10 TVK cadre for causing ruckus in Valparai GH - The HinduUpdated - September 26, 2026 10:11 pm IST - COIMBATOREThe Valparai Police booked 10 persons said to be belonging to the TVK based on a complaint lodged by the Government Hospital in Valparai that they had caused a commotion through “arbitrary inspection with intimidatory demeanour”.In her complaint lodged on Friday, Chief Medical Officer of the Valparai GH Madhupriya said that the group of TVK partymen barged into the hospital on Thursday evening and used abusive words against her and other doctors, causing them mental agony.The complaint said the TVK partymen claimed to have the sanction of State Minister to conduct the “inspection”, and had threatened the CMO of grave consequences of if she did not cooperate at times of future “inspections”.The CMO requested the police to check the CCTV footage from the hospital to confirm the veracity of her complaint.The case was registered under BNS sections 329 (criminal trespass), 221 (obstructing public servant from performing duty), 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), 296(b), which deals with acting in an obscene manner in public places, and 351(2) read with Section 3 of Tamil Nadu Medicare Service Persons Act (involving criminal intimidation directed against a medical professional or healthcare institution).The suspects have not been named in the FIR. The investigation has been taken up by Inspector M.
