For Passholders, that distinction can turn a seemingly ordinary Saturday into a planning problem.Disney World Annual Passholder Reservations Hit Capacity at Two ParksThe September 26 sellout affects the Passholder reservation inventory for EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It should not be described as a full resort closure, a park-wide capacity closure, or evidence that every admission category has sold out.Disney explicitly states that it allocates daily park reservations among Annual Passes and daily theme park tickets. Once that allotment is gone, additional reservations become possible only if cancellations occur or Disney elects to release more inventory.Meanwhile, many date-based ticket products operate differently. Disney’s current 4-Park Magic Ticket, for example, does not require a theme park reservation, although admission remains subject to capacity closures and other restrictions. September 26 is the final eligible start date listed for that offer.That difference is why “Passholder reservations are full” and “the park is full” are not interchangeable statements. For loyal guests accustomed to frequent visits, the practical frustration is clear even without assigning a motive to Disney: the Passholder product can face an access restriction that another admission product does not.Passholders Still Have Options Later in the DayA depleted morning reservation calendar does not necessarily eliminate every possibility of visiting EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios today.Disney says Annual Passholders may generally enter its theme parks after 2 p.m. without a theme park reservation, subject to applicable blockout dates and capacity limitations. The recurring exception is Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays, where the after-2 p.m. reservation exemption does not apply.Passholders should check the current Annual Passholder admission calendar and My Disney Experience before traveling because availability can change.
