The Reserve Bank of India has issued revised market risk capital requirements for commercial banks, aligning Indian regulations with Basel III standards. Banks must adopt the framework by April 1, 2027. The directions revise rules for trading books, foreign exchange risk, interest rate risk, debt funds and credit derivative hedges.
