Toy Story Land has always been built around the idea that guests have shrunk down to the size of a toy and stepped into Andy’s backyard. Now, Disney World is giving visitors another way to play along.A new addition has arrived at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, bringing interactive games, videos, colorful graphics, and an expanded soundtrack into the land.It isn’t another roller coaster or massive attraction. Instead, Disney has introduced a character tied directly to Toy Story 5 (2026), creating another entertainment option guests can enjoy without entering an attraction line. And this new face is already making her presence known throughout Andy’s backyard.A New Toy Has Arrived in Andy’s BackyardLilypad has officially joined Toy Story Land at Walt Disney World. The character comes from Toy Story 5 (2026), where technology plays an important role in the toys’ latest adventure. Lilypad is a frog-shaped smart tablet that introduces a very different kind of toy into the franchise. Now, Disney has brought that idea into the parks.Rather than appearing as a traditional character walking around Toy Story Land, Lilypad lives on a large screen in the area. That gives Disney a flexible way to incorporate the new character while introducing activities guests can enjoy throughout the day.The addition also connects Toy Story Land with the newest chapter of the franchise while keeping Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Rex, and the other familiar toys at the heart of the area.Credit: DisneyGuests Can Stop and Play Without Joining Another LineLilypad offers several interactive games and activities built around the Toy Story characters. One game asks guests to figure out which character Lilypad is drawing through her doodling app. Another gives visitors scrambled puzzles they can help solve, revealing characters such as Partysaurus Rex.Lilypad can also show “home videos” featuring the toys. One example centers around Forky and Karen Beverly’s wedding, adding another playful piece of storytelling. While these activities are simple, they give families another option when everyone isn’t doing the same thing. One person might ride an attraction while another stays behind with a child who doesn’t meet the height requirement. Other guests may be waiting for food or simply need a break before joining another queue.Lilypad gives those guests something else to watch and interact with, rather than simply standing around waiting.Disney has also expanded the character’s musical presence.Credit: DisneyThe Sound of Toy Story Land Is Getting an UpdateLilypad comes with an expanded playlist featuring remixed versions of recognizable Toy Story music, including songs guests may associate with Alien Swirling Saucers.Whenever a song plays, Lilypad’s screen displays artwork resembling a record.A red Buzz Lightyear album accompanies “Hay Un Amigo En Mi,” which previously wasn’t included in the Alien Swirling Saucers soundtrack. A blue Forky album represents “I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away,” while a black record decorated with the Pixar ball accompanies “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.”Woody and Bullseye appear on another red record for a Woody’s Roundup remix. But Disney didn’t stop with familiar music.“Spin It Back, Lilypad” is a brand-new song created specifically for Alien Swirling Saucers. Lilypad herself appears on its green record artwork.Another new track, “Pizza Planet Promo,” serves as a theme song for the franchise’s famous pizza restaurant. Its record resembles a pizza with a Little Green Alien in the middle.Credit: DisneyThen there are some unexpected choices. The “Partysaurus Rex Anthem” joins the rotation, referencing Partysaurus Rex (2012), the animated short that follows Rex as he embraces his party-loving side.Guests can also hear an instrumental version of “I Knew It, I Knew You,” the Taylor Swift song created for Toy Story 5 (2026).“Buzz Beats!” is another addition, represented by a blue Star Command record. “We Belong Together” plays alongside a red album featuring several Toy Story characters.Disney mixes the songs with Lilypad’s games, videos, and other graphics. There Is Still Plenty More Waiting Around the CornerLilypad joins a land that already packs several attractions and experiences into a relatively compact area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.Guests can compete against each other on Toy Story Mania!, where riders play carnival-inspired games alongside familiar characters.Slinky Dog Dash remains the land’s family coaster, while Alien Swirling Saucers offers another playful option as Little Green Aliens spin riders around their toy playset.Families looking for a longer break can also head to Roundup Rodeo BBQ, the land’s table-service restaurant themed around Andy’s rodeo.Lilypad doesn’t replace any of those experiences. Instead, the character fills some of the time between them, particularly for families juggling different ride plans, meals, young children, and waits.Credit: DisneyToy Story Land Gets Another Layer of PlayDisney didn’t need another major attraction to give Toy Story Land a fresh addition.Lilypad introduces Toy Story 5 (2026) directly into the land, while adding games, videos, music, and entertainment for guests who may not be heading straight to a ride. The screen also gives Disney another storytelling space that could continue changing over time. For now, guests walking through Andy’s backyard have a new toy to meet, several games to try, and a much bigger playlist to hear. The post Disney World Transforms Beloved Toy Story Land With Brand-New Games and Music appeared first on Inside the Magic.
