ABVP condemns screening of documentary on Umar Khalid at NALSAR - The HinduPublished - September 25, 2026 09:59 pm IST - HYDERABADAkhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Greater Hyderabad unit, on Friday condemned the unauthorised screening of the documentary Prisoner No. 626710 is Present, centered on activist Umar Khalid, at NALSAR University of Law campus on September 23 (Wednesday). In a statement, ABVP raised concerns over the use of educational premises for what it described as political propaganda.ABVP argued that such screenings on university premises could turn campuses into platforms for political propaganda instead of spaces for academic discussion and debate. As the event was not authorised by NALSAR administration, it said it has submitted a representation to Vice-Chancellor, NALSAR, by e-mail and sought an enquiry into the screening and appropriate action against those responsible.
