Galaxy A27 set for US release, but a discounted Galaxy A37 complicates things

Wait 5 sec.

The Galaxy A27 just became official, and it will join the A37 and A57 on store shelves in the USA. Not today, but fairly soon on July 14.Samsung US announced the Galaxy A27's availability today, along with pricing, and black as the only color option.A higher US launch price than the A26As you've probably noticed, things are unfortunately getting more expensive all around us. So you probably won't be surprised to learn that the Galaxy A27 is going on sale in the USA for a higher price than the A26 did last year. How much higher? $50. The Galaxy A26 went on sale in 2025 for $300, and the Galaxy A27 will hit US shelves on July 14 for $350.For that money, you are getting a handful of upgrades over the A26, including — Samsung claims — up to 50% faster memory. Then again, the Galaxy A27 is also oddly and slightly compromised in a few areas. No matter how you look at it, the Galaxy A27 is going on sale at a $50 premium over its predecessor. But depending on Samsung's generosity, US buyers may be able to get that $50 back through a trade-in discount. What's a harder sell is that, as of this writing, you can buy the superior Galaxy A37 at a discount for less than the A27 will cost at launch. Right now, the Galaxy A37 is $329 after a $120 no-trade-in deal. See Galaxy A37 offers Samsung Shop Buy the better Galaxy A37 now for $329? Or wait until July 14 for the lesser Galaxy A27 to go on sale for $350? If you're looking for a mid-range phone in the US right now, the choice seems obvious. The A37 is the undisputed winner as long as that discount is available. However, Samsung US could have planned a few perks for early A27 buyers, and we will be looking at trade-in deals once the Galaxy A27 store page is up. Stay tuned.
