I dunno, as a working class citizen I feel for you getting sick early in and being short money. But then asking for my money so you can take unpaid vacation and you haven’t been here long enough to earn any PTO is absolutely gonna have me shit talking you later. I know everywhere is different but from my perspective: at my job where you earn PTO on your second check ever based on hours worked up to a maximum of 4 hours for a 40 hour week- you just hit me with a “I’ve been here long enough to beg for money but not enough to actually get paid for working here”
