A major landslide has completely blocked the Shillong-Dawki road near Laitlyngkot village, severing connectivity. Authorities have closed the road indefinitely, warning commuters to avoid the route beyond Laitlyngkot. Repair work is expected to take several days. Other areas also reported significant rainfall.
