The latest effusive eruption period at Lewotolo started on 7 May and continues (image: Sentinel-2, processed by Martin Kelko)The effusive-explosive eruption at the volcano continues.The latest satellite image of the volcano from 21 June confirms that the viscous, gas-poor lava continues to flow onto the 2020 cinder cone's southern slope.Occasional strombolian-type explosions continue to take place from the crater within the main caldera.
