Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmf7kH5SHls A Florida man allegedly decided to moonlight as law enforcement, only to discover he’d picked about the worst possible person to pull over. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, 46-year-old Nadi Jabari allegedly activated red and blue emergency lights on his black Chevrolet Suburban in an attempt to conduct a traffic stop. Unfortunately for him, the vehicle he chose wasn’t driven by an unsuspecting motorist—it was occupied by undercover sheriff’s deputies. That’s about the law enforcement equivalent of trying to rob a bank that’s hosting Police Appreciation Day. Rather than pulling over in confusion, the undercover deputies simply called for marked units. Within minutes, the fake traffic stop had become a very real one—just with the roles reversed. Deputies say they found an illegal emergency lighting system installed on the Suburban, including an additional two-foot light bar, along with a firearm inside the vehicle. Jabari was arrested on charges including false personation, unlawful use of a blue light, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was later released on bond. Sheriff Chad Chronister said impersonating a law enforcement officer is dangerous because it erodes public trust and puts both deputies and the public at risk. Turns out the only thing worse than pretending to be a cop is accidentally trying to pull over the actual cops. Some people buy lottery tickets with those odds.
