Six held in Shamshabad gambling raid; cash and mobile phones seized - The HinduUpdated - June 27, 2026 12:29 am IST - HYDERABADSix persons have been arrested by Shamshabad police for organising and participating in an illegal gambling operation at a farmhouse in Gandiguda village on Thursday (June 25, 2026).The accused were identified as Kavali Dasharath, 65, a real estate businessman from Nagaram village; Vegiraju Ramchandar Raju, 52, an agriculturist from Peddashapur Thanda; Katravath Ramesh, 36, an agriculturist from Pulimamidi village; Nenavath Hanumanthu, 42, an agriculturist from Nagaram village; Vesaru Srinivas, 44, an agriculturist from Dhannaram village; and Gorre Nandan Goud, 54, a businessman from Brindavan Colony, Shamshabad.Police said another individual, identified as Nagendra, a supervisor at Acasa Farm House, is absconding.According to police, a raid was conducted at around 3.30 p.m. after officers received information that several persons were gambling by playing three-card poker with cash stakes at Acasa Farm House in Gandiguda village.A police team reached the location and apprehended the participants while they were engaged in gambling activities.
