I feel I owe all the followers of this site an apology as I’ve been so slack lately about posting, but I’ve been propelled back into action by some great news: We Love Arabic has been chosen to feature in leading UK tutoring company Tutorful’s editorial: The Expert Guide to Learning Arabic: Tips and Tools for 2018.It’s a real honour to have this website included in Tutorful’s round-up of the top learning tools and inspiring content for Arabic learners, an impressive overview which covers the best Arabic learning apps, blogs, YouTube channels, podcasts and books (although I don’t fully agree with the top recommendations in the book category!). There is some very sound advice in this article and I especially like the way they end with busting some myths about learning a foreign language. With regard to Arabic in particular, I would reassure beginners that even Arabic is not as hard as legend would have it. Yes, for speakers of Indo-European languages, there’s a lot about Arabic that’s more foreign than most European languages, but it’s all about how you approach it and being clear with yourself what your goal is. If your goal is to make basic conversation when travelling, then with the multitude of resources out there that goal has never been easier to achieve. In many ways, Arabic is more accessible than you think. To all beginners embarking on their Arabic-learning journey, good luck, tawfeeq, and check out the resources on We Love Arabic and the great recommendations on the Tutorful expert guide.
