The Limitless Applications of AI

Wait 5 sec.

Since 2021, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been readily available for the mass population of people worldwide. Since then, it has pushed forward into a new frontier that could never have been foreseen. The rate of growth that this new technology has seen has never before been experienced in any field. With this development, users have changed how they use AI.While AI is still being used for trivial tasks such as English and Calculus assignments, there is a new adoption of partnering with the AI to complete a task. This advanced way of thinking is leading to the automation of tasks designed to assist the user. It is important to keep in mind that there are many options that are available for use, and all perform in different ways. The past shows that AI has never stopped growing and pushing its boundaries. AI has rapidly increased its speed of development and its uses. With this in mind, the future seems extremely bright for AI.AI has gained traction in almost all parts of life. It is a hive mind that learns from itself and is always becoming smarter. According to Cloudflare, AI has surpassed human traffic on the internet.\While this mind-blowing stat can be hard to wrap your head around, it is important to mention that this is global. The AI traffic by percentage for the top five countries is as follows:\With these stats in mind, it is not a stretch to say that AI is in a solid position. AI will continue to grow and develop; AI vastly overpowers manual labor in terms of volume, speed, and pattern recognition. This is the resounding theme of all three infrastructures. Nowhere is this more present than in medicine, commerce, and the automation of transactions. In medicine, AI can help with detecting anomalies in patients’ records, finding duplicate treatments and overbilling, as well as revealing fraudulent insurance claims. AI can automate routine claims and make the process go by faster while flagging outlying claims for human intervention. Prescription orders can be processed, and the dosage and combination can be scanned to prevent dosage errors and dangerous combinations.Commerce is even easier to imagine the positive effects of AI. It will help protect against fraud in terms of returns, but also in international shipping. AI can help by detecting fraud and harm in the port city before it hurts the recipient country. AI can help automate shipping, producing and optimizing shipping routes so packages arrive sooner. Delivery drivers can be scored and monitored to watch for repeated habits of reckless driving and damaged deliveries, all things that impede the efficiency of shipping companies. The banking world could use AI too. AI can prevent money laundering, decreasing the amount of fines banks face for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) failures. AI can also prevent fraudulent charges and monitor all charges. Blocked charges commonly experienced by actual card holders will go away. Credit Scores can be automated too; AI can make it so more people can have access to loans while maintaining the bank's security and safety. While the future is important to mention, the present is what matters now. Recently, AI has been further developed to take full control of multi-step financial tasks at Coinbase and Salesforce autonomously. AI is now operating tasks end-to-end without the need for human intervention at some of the biggest companies in the world. Another major development is that Novo Nordisk, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, is going to be using AI to supercharge scientists and assist them in the development of new drugs. AI will be handling the identification of possible new obesity and diabetes treatment candidates and observing them through clinical trials while assisting the drug all the way through its manufacturing.Proving the institutional support of AI to a further degree, two major events have happened in the past two weeks that have propelled Artificial Intelligence forward. Representatives Jay Obernolte and Lori Trahan unveiled a 269-page federal AI bill called “The Great American AI Act”. If passed, it will supersede all state laws for three years and affect every person, business, and institution that currently uses AI. Another huge story is the filing of OpenAI’s (the world’s most valuable private AI company) IPO. This shows the support for AI at the highest level from both legislative and financial sectors. Both of these events are important because they have brought national attention and interest to AI among Americans. It is bringing in more users, and as the users grow, so does the AI itself. The question isn’t IF AI will change industries; it already has—it's how fast it will change industries.\This story was also published on my newsletter called Spyrigend.\Tip Jar to Support WriterEnjoy the article?
