Bengaluru: Rowdy-sheeter arrested for violating court warrants - The HinduUpdated - June 24, 2026 07:05 pm IST - BengaluruThe accused has been identified as Shakib alias Syed Aqib Pasha, 30, a rowdy-sheeter of the Vidyaranyapura Police Station limits. | Photo Credit: Getty ImagesThe Central Crime Branch (CCB) has arrested a notorious rowdy-sheeter who had been absconding despite repeated court summons and warrant orders.The accused has been identified as Shakib alias Syed Aqib Pasha, 30, a rowdy-sheeter of the Vidyaranyapura Police Station limits.Acting on credible information, CCB officers traced and apprehended Shakib near a private establishment in Allalasandra, Yelahanka. He was subsequently brought to the CCB office for detailed interrogation.The police said Shakib, a resident of Mubarak Road near Hunasemarana Halli in J.J. Nagar, has a long criminal history. A verification of records revealed more than 11 criminal cases registered against him in Bengaluru and other States.Investigators found that in at least three cases, Shakib had failed to appear before the court on scheduled hearing dates despite receiving summons.
