The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 could come with several hardware and software upgrades over the original Galaxy Watch Ultra, which launched two years ago. It isn’t clear whether the smartwatch uses an OLED or a Micro LED panel, but the former seems more likely. Its size (1.5 inches), resolution (480 x 480 pixels), and pixel density (327ppi) are expected to remain the same as those of its predecessor. It could also use Samsung Display’s on-cell film (OCF) technology that was showcased at the MWC 2025 exposition last year. That would be an upgrade over the Galaxy Watch Ultra’s IP68 rating. An IP69K rating means the device is completely dust-tight and highly resistant to close-range, high-pressure, and high-temperature water jets. The device is expected to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear Elite chip and an 800mAh battery. It could run Wear OS 7-based One UI 9 Watch software out of the box. Samsung could launch several official watch strap options for it.Galaxy Z Flip 8, Z Fold 8, and Z Fold 8 Ultra upgradesThe Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is also expected to feature an upgraded display. It reportedly offers a peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits for better visibility under direct sunlight. However, it is said to miss out on the Privacy Display feature, S Pen support, and a newer OLED emissive material. The Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra are also rumored to support 45W fast charging.
