We don’t do that either.. that’s an influencer thing.. Before the whole “influencer” thing, I worked at a luxury hotel - ocean from brand new. So we had all the travel writers coming out of the woodwork asking for free stays and free everything else. It was exhausting. Finally we established tiers based on whatever metrics they gave us. One dude actually wrote a “this cheap place” type review because we didn’t comp him an entire weeks stay during peak season. Yeah he had like 30,000 followers and never actually wrote for any major publication just his blog.
