My reply 4 hours unpaid work for some portfolio images and I’ll be honest with you zero exposure in most cases is why new photographers get taken advantage of 🥲 when I was new I would have jumped at this but with looking back I can see just how unfair it is. You wouldn’t walk into a hairdressers and ask an apprentice for a free haircut for an insta tag. If a photographer does a free session it’s for them to put a model call out and in most cases it’s because it’s of benefit to them and organised by them. If it’s not in your budget it’s not in your budget and wasn’t a priority. Get your guests to take photos You used the word “budget conscious” that venue doesn’t look very budget conscious. Your asking for a handout at the expense of a hard working up and comming photographer who maybe dosent understand what your offering is 100 percent not worth the effort they will put in. 4 hours of shooting can easily mean an extra 6 or more hours of editing. As you can see by the rest of the comments this really isn’t it hun I understand your logic but take it from real people in the industry we are telling you this isn’t ok.
