I got married for a total of about $200. Including the wedding license fee. Rings were family heirlooms. Got married at a courthouse wearing clothes we already had and went out to dinner after at a very nice Spanish restaurant. Too many people want a big fancy party but don't want to pay for it. If the point is to get married on the cheap then do it - don't demand that others do stuff for free.
