However, Samsung has so far only used foldable OLED panels in its smartphones. In the future, though, the South Korean firm reportedly wants to launch a phone with a rollable screen.According to a report from Money Today, Samsung Display is in advanced discussions to supply rollable OLED panels to Samsung MX (Mobile eXperience) for a rollable smartphone that could launch in the first half of 2028. If this information is accurate, Samsung could unveil its first rollable phone during the tenth anniversary year of its foldable smartphone lineup.Market research firm Omdia expects Samsungâs rollable phone to feature a 10-inch OLED panel with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 440ppi, making it ideal for productivity and video consumption.
