In case you haven’t noticed, the United States of America has a very big birthday coming up—a 250th birthday, on July 4, 2026. Magnum Research reckons this is a birthday worth celebrating, and they’re putting out a special-edition Desert Eagle to honor the country hitting the two-and-a-half century mark! Maximum Magnum Research @ TFB: Magnum Research Magnum Lite MLR22AT .22  The Magnum Research Desert Eagle 44 Mag Wasn't What I Expected  Wheelgun Wednesday: Magnum Research BFR in 360 Buckhammer  Snakeskin & Kryptek Highlander from Magnum Research  Magnum Research’s Desert Eagle isn’t a common handgun in the U.S., but it’s iconic, as the most famous semi-auto magnum ever built—a natural choice for a high-value collector piece.Looking at this pistol, you can immediately see it has had more bodywork done than Michael Jackson’s face. Magnum Research built the pistol, but it has been further customized by Koted Arms. Here’s how they describe the handgun’s upgrades:“This custom build serves as a functional canvas of American history. The slide features deep relief engraving of “We The People” in historic script, flanked by ornate scrollwork and the dates “1776” and “2026.” The muzzle is boldly engraved with “USA” within a shield motif, while custom lasered and plated steel grips display a majestic eagle and shield design, ensuring the spirit of freedom is felt in every handling.“The pistol boasts a striking two-tone finish engineered for beauty and durability. A lustrous Hard Nickel coating on the frame and slide provides a bright canvas, contrasted by a High-Temp, High-Performance Bronze PVD treatment on the barrel, grips, and small parts. To make the artwork pop, all engravings are filled with Black Cerakote, paying homage to America’s heritage of metalworking craftsmanship.”All very fancy, and there will only be a few available. Magnum Research says they will only sell 100 of these anniversary-edition Deagles. MSRP is an eye-watering $9,659. The pistol ships with a certificate of authenticity and with only a single seven-round mag. Not that you’re likely to be ripping a lot of rounds through this gun at a range, because it’s chambered in the pricey .50 AE caliber. See more details at the Magnum Research website here.
