Not just that but I'm not attending his wedding either. His wedding is in August. We've been friends for the past 3 years and I was kind of surprised he first reached out to invite me and attend then a few days later asked to design the wedding card bc I was avoiding him. I'm kind of a introvert and I was fatigued by how much he always tried to get into my personal space and force me out. Or try to convince me why we're soulmate to which I set good boundaries and later ghosted. I congratulated him I was finally happy, two days later he asked me to design his wedding cards ( I'm an illustrator I do portraits on clip studio paint and comic art). I was surprised, I said idk how thus can be done but I'll try my best. He sent me an Ai generated version of what he wanted instead of answering my questions telling me to copy exactly what the Ai did for him to which I believe I'm entitled to be angry abt and I said so. But bc I didn't want to refuse helping out knowing he wouldn't spend a dime to make his fiancé happy by getting her a professional photographer and a wedding card designer I accepted to help. Pressured me through I was moving out of my old apartment and preparing for a job interview, I squeezed him in my schedule and did the design. He ranted abt how it's low effort ( I need more creativity) and sent me the ai one again and more pictures of a place they had their first date and asked me to squeeze all that in. I ofc said I won't be able to design that respectfully and this is his final response in the screenshots an hour ago to which I decided to ignore. TLDR Expected premium custom human illustration on a zero-dollar budget. Insulted my work during the process by calling it "not creative enough" because it didn't look like an AI prompt. Threw a petty guilttripping tantrum when I officially pulled the plug. Tried to flex by sending a botched AI invitation layout and liking his own text. submitted by /u/Lapindahaha [link] [comments]
