Mental health nurse in New York City was fired after she shouted “f**k Israel” at a group of Israeli tourists and accused them of raping Palestinians and murdering children.By David Rosenberg, World Israel NewsJennifer Koonings, a New York psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who was fired after she harassed a group of Israeli men in Times Square and uploaded footage to social media of her expletive-laden antisemitic verbal attacks says she is now under investigation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center over the incident and could lose her board certification.Koonings said in a video posted to her Youtube account on Monday that she received a certified letter from the ANCC notifying her that the organization was reviewing allegations that she engaged in conduct “unbecoming to the nursing profession” and had “violently harassed and targeted innocent Israelis” based on what she perceived their national origin to be.Reading from the letter, Koonings said the ANCC told her it had “become aware of potential misconduct involving your psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner certification related to possible failure to comply with the American Nurses Association code of ethics for nurses and engaging in conduct unbecoming of the nursing profession.”“The potential misconduct relates to recent social media posts in which you allegedly engage in aggressive targeted harassment towards individuals in public in New York City based on perceived national origin,” the letter said, according to Koonings.Koonings said the matter had been sent to the chair of the ANCC’s Commission on Board Certification for preliminary review and would then be forwarded to a review committee. She said she has retained counsel after initially struggling to find a lawyer willing to represent her.“If I lose my board certification, I essentially cannot practice as a nurse practitioner,” she said, adding that a certification loss could be reported to state licensing boards. The ANCC has not publicly commented on Koonings’ case. Its published disciplinary policy says certification may be denied, suspended or revoked for several categories of misconduct, including “conduct unbecoming of the nursing profession.”Koonings was fired in April by Inspire Mental Health Services after she posted video of herself harassing and verbally assaulting a group of Israeli men in Times Square. In the footage, she called the men “baby killers,” asked if they had “killed babies in Palestine” and “slaughtered babies,” and yelled “f— Israel.” She also accused them of raping Palestinians.“We don’t want you here,” Koonings said, and referred to the men as “disgusting” and “terrorists.” At one point, a Times Square performer dressed as Spider-Man intervened and told her, “You don’t need to harass people.” When he said she did not know anything about the men, Koonings replied, “Yes, I do, they’re f—ing Israelis.”StopAntisemitism, which publicized Koonings’ identity and employment, said after her firing that the video showed “explicit antisemitic harassment in New York City” and conduct “fundamentally incompatible with her professional responsibilities.”“We thank Inspire Mental Health Services for acting swiftly and saying no to hate,” StopAntisemitism founder Liora Rez said.Koonings later confirmed she had been fired, posting a screenshot of the termination notice and writing, “Nice job zios lol you got me fired from a place I was working like 8 hours a week at & I would still shout BABY KILLERS at IOF MURDERERS again!!!”In her recent video, Koonings defended the Times Square confrontation and denied targeting the men because they were Israeli. She said she was conducting “man on the street” interviews about the war and only changed her tone after the men told her they were from Israel.“I deny the claims made by the ANCC that my actions were targeted and aggressive,” she said in the draft response she said she had written before retaining attorneys. “I did not engage in any aggressive or physical behavior. I did not touch these individuals, only use my words baby killers against them.”She said she rejected the claim that her words were based on perceived national origin, arguing instead that her comments were political criticism of Israel and its military.“Conduct unbecoming to the nursing profession is supporting genocide and participants of said genocide,” she said.Last month, Koonings uploaded a YouTube video in which she promoted antisemitic claims linking Jews, Zionism, Israel to pornography, accusing Jews of weaponizing sexual content. In the video, Koonings said she wanted to “show you that pornography and Zionism are inextricably linked” and claimed that “Zionism and sexual deviency and pornography” were connected.“There is a very clear reason why the Zionist regime routinely weaponizes pornography and sexual violence and torture,” she said.Koonings also claimed that “Zionism uses pornography and sexualized torture as a central tenant of their strategy,” and said the Epstein abuse network was “evidence of this.”“This sexual deviency that is so rife within the porn industry is more or less what Zionism is based in,” she said.Koonings, who once worked as a sexual assault forensic examiner, said in the same video that she had also been fired from that role after she denied acts of sexual violence during the Hamas-led Oct. 7 attacks.“This is the video that I got fired because of from being a sexual assault forensic examiner and slandered by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office,” she said, referring to an earlier video in which she called the Oct. 7 sexual assault allegations a “mass rape hoax.”Koonings had previously been fired from Mount Sinai Hospital in 2024 after denying the rapes committed by Hamas during the Oct. 7 massacre. In her latest video, Koongings said she does not regret her remarks and would fight any attempt to strip her credentials.“I don’t feel genuinely sorry about anything because everything that I said was the truth,” she said. “I stand on it.”The post Antisemitic NYC nurse could lose certification for harassing Israelis appeared first on World Israel News.
