Voltage Music duo Kent & Flosso have publicly accused a well-known DJ of failing to pay them for several performances and allegedly influencing other DJs not to play their music.Speaking during an interview on NRG Ignition, the singers claimed they performed at four events organized by the DJ but are yet to receive their full payment. While they stopped short of naming the individual, the duo detailed what they described as a pattern of unpaid balances and broken promises.Mr. DJ, you know yourself. You took us to Mbarara, we were supposed to get Shs6 million but you gave us Shs3 million and took the balance. Then we came back to Kampala and you gave us another show for Shs2 million. At Supremacy, you didn’t give us our money and now you’re telling every DJ not to play our music.Kent & Flosso said the dispute has negatively affected their music career, claiming that their songs are receiving less airplay because of the DJ’s influence within the industry. Voltage Music duo Kent & Flosso break silence on 3-year hiatusThey expressed frustration that the matter remains unresolved despite their longstanding relationship with him. That guy is our friend. We knew him when we were in Senior Five. That means the closest enemy is a friend. He doesn’t pay musicians and it’s not only us complaining. There are many artists who have complained, but he can still change. Let him not be a thief. @nrgradioug There is a DJ who made us perform 4 times and hasn’t paid us. He’s now telling everyone not to play our music ~ @Voltage music Brought to you by @captainmorgan.africa Full interview on @Play!tLoud #NRGIgnition #NRGRadioUG ♬ original sound – 106.5 NRG Radio UG The post Kent & Flosso accuse DJ of unpaid performances and industry sabotage appeared first on MBU.
