The deceased has been identified as Sudheesh, son of Vasu, a native of Vellarakkad. The accident occurred near Akikkavu around 2:20 AM today. A goods lorry transporting vehicles lost control and collided with the scooter Sudheesh was riding. The lorry did not stop after the accident.Later, another biker who was passing by followed and stopped the lorry. Sudheesh was taken to the hospital half an hour after the accident. By then, he had died. The police arrived and took further action.
