Exactly… a letter these days has gravitas based on reputation that is also backed by various things. And for such a thing? It’s a simple phone call or what have you. This is someone who thinks their wedding is “worth exposure” of … the event I guess?!? They wouldn’t “write” anything. I bet the bride and her hubby won’t even get their thank you cards done. 🤣 this is a way to put the carrot out for a reference and that isn’t as posh as a whole ass letter of recommendation… 🤣🤣🤣 Anyway, a lot of gormless idiots on the thread thinking letters of recommendation are just for academics and the blah blah. Which isn’t true, but outside of the olden days? You’re gonna need a lot more to watch someone’s kids. I’d hope at least….
