Nagpur Metro's Phase-II North Corridor is set for a significant expansion, with the Maharashtra cabinet's sub-committee approving a 1.4 km elevated extension from Kanhan River to Kanhan town. This Rs 310.35 crore project will feature a new station, boosting connectivity for approximately 35,000 residents and an estimated 5,000-6,000 daily commuters. The extension promises improved access to surrounding areas and is projected to serve an additional 20,000 passengers daily.
