Is that even true about a spouse visa? I thought what would matter is that he is an asset to Canada. Im not Canadian but Australian and my husband got a spouse visa with no problem despite me not working at the time. They didnt even really ask much about me, except my status as a citizen born there. I figured Canada would have a similar system.
