WASHINGTON — While millions of Americans still demand real accountability for the weaponization of government under the Biden administration, Senate Republican Thom Tillis is playing both sides of the street — insisting the controversial “anti-weaponization” fund must be permanently killed with extra steps, yet actively helping Democrats block the basic election integrity measure that would help prevent another 2020-style installation.In a Capitol Hill press gaggle this week, Tillis made clear he does not fully trust Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche’s verbal assurances that the $1.776 billion fund is dead.He pushed for “finality” beyond Blanche’s statements.“I still think that the weaponization fund needs to be similar to the Powell situation,” Tillis said. “I believe the president, I believe Blanche.
