Week 26 of 52 | GOOG | AI Pullback or Buying Opportunity?Alphabet Inc. Class CBATS:GOOGRobert_V12GOOG just reminded investors why even the strongest companies can still shake weak hands. After a massive run from the 2025 lows, GOOG is finally pulling back into an important technical area. The stock is no longer in “cheap accumulation” territory, but it is also far from being a broken chart. What we’re seeing now is a battle between two narratives: The bullish case: Alphabet is still one of the most profitable businesses in the world. Search keeps growing, YouTube remains a monster, and Google Cloud is becoming a real AI growth engine. In Q1 2026, Alphabet delivered around $109.9B in revenue, up 22% YoY, while Google Cloud grew 63% to roughly $20B. That is not a weak company — that is a compounding machine being tested by the market. The bearish case: AI is expensive. Very expensive. Alphabet is expected to spend around $180B–$190B in CapEx for 2026, mainly to build AI infrastructure. Investors are asking the big question: Will AI spending create enough return, or are Big Tech companies entering a new spending war? That is why this pullback matters. Technically, GOOG is testing momentum after rejecting the upper zone near $390–400. The first key area I’m watching is around $340–345, where the stock is trying to stabilize. If that fails, the cleaner opportunity may come near $320–325, where price could meet trendline support. The major support zone remains around $295. If GOOG ever gets there while fundamentals remain strong, that could become a much more attractive long-term accumulation area. For now, I’m not chasing strength. I’m watching the pullback. Key levels: Current reaction area: $340–345 Trendline support: $320–325 Major support: $295 Upside targets if momentum returns: $360 / $380 / $400 Sometimes the best companies don’t become attractive because the business is failing. They become attractive because the market gets impatient. Disclaimer: This is not financial advice. I’m not telling anyone to buy or sell.
