Morris, Campbell among Americans to learn EFL schedules

The 2026-27 English Football League schedule has officially been released, five weeks prior to opening weekend. Aidan Morris and George Campbell were among the seven American players to learn their respective league schedules for the upcoming campaign following the EPL’s full release on Thursday.Morris and Middlesbrough missed out on promotion to the Premier League last May but will aim to avoid the same disappointment this time around.Campbell and West Brom will be seeking an improved campaign this term, fighting to be among the promotion contenders. Agyemang and Derby County are back at it after just missing out on the promotion playoffs last spring. Agyemang missed the final stretch of matches due to an Achilles injury. Damion Downs is back at Southampton seeking to be part of the squad following a loan spell at Hamburg. The Saints reached the promotion playoff last season before being expelled by the EFL. Charlie Kelman and Charlton Athletic hope to be in the top-half this season, especially after a sluggish second-half. In League One, Lynden Gooch and Huddersfield Town will push to be part of the promotion race this season in the third-tier. Jonathan Tomkinson remains with Cheltenham Town in League Two after having his option picked up in May.
