The police also seized 30 deadly weapons, including longs, machetes and daggers, along with a car and a two-wheeler used by the accused.According to the police, the conspiracy stemmed from the murder of a rowdy-sheeter attached to the Ashok Nagar Police Station limits in February last year. Investigators said the victim’s brother, along with his associates, allegedly planned to eliminate the person accused of orchestrating the earlier murder as retaliation.Based on credible intelligence, the CCB’s Organized Crime Wing tracked the suspects on June 26 while they were moving around in a car and on a motorcycle, allegedly armed with deadly weapons and waiting for an opportunity to execute the murder.The CCB team intercepted and arrested all seven accused before they could carry out the attack.A case has been registered at the CCB Police Station, and further investigation is under way.
