President Trump says US may have to “complete the job” in Iran, warning that a new American campaign there will mark the end of the Islamic Republic.By World Israel News StaffPresident Donald Trump on Saturday night threatened further military action against Iran after American aircraft struck Iranian military targets in response to what Washington said were repeated violations of a ceasefire agreement. In a post to his Truth Social account, the president threatened to “complete the job” if Iranian attacks continue, adding that should the US be forced into a new military campaign against Iran, the Islamic Republic will be overthrown.“United States aircraft just struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites, for violating the Cease Fire Agreement, AGAIN! It is very possible that they will never learn! There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!” Trump wrote on Truth Social. The remarks came after US Central Command said American forces carried out additional strikes against multiple targets in Iran at Trump’s direction. CENTCOM said the strikes followed an Iranian one-way drone attack Saturday morning on the Panama-flagged tanker M/T Kiku, which was transiting near the Strait of Hormuz with more than two million barrels of crude oil.CENTCOM said US aircraft targeted Iranian military surveillance infrastructure, communications systems, air defense sites, drone storage facilities and minelaying capabilities. The command said commercial vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz was continuing and that US forces remained “vigilant, lethal, and ready.”The latest strikes followed another US attack a day earlier, after CENTCOM said Iran struck the Singapore-flagged cargo ship M/V Ever Lovely with a one-way attack drone while it was exiting the Strait of Hormuz along the Omani coast. CENTCOM said that attack violated the ceasefire and undermined freedom of navigation through the key international trade route.Iran and the United States have accused each other of violating an interim agreement signed less than two weeks ago to halt fighting and reopen the strait to commercial shipping. The deal was also meant to clear the way for talks on broader disputes, including Iran’s nuclear program. After Trump’s post, Iran launched missiles and drones at US military sites in Kuwait and Bahrain, according to Reuters.A US official told the news agency there were no immediate reports of American casualties or major damage to US sites in the region.Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the attacks were retaliation for recent US strikes. Iranian state media also reported explosions in southern Iran. The post Trump threatens to destroy Islamic Republic if Iran continues attacks appeared first on World Israel News.
