XAUUSD: Liquidity Sweep at 4380 Done, 4150 FVG Next SellGoldOANDA:XAUUSDRyan_TitanTraderGold gave a textbook trap this week and a lot of people got caught on the wrong side. That spike above 4380 wasn't a real breakout, it was a stop run. Buy side liquidity got swept above the old high, and the moment that order flow dried up, price reversed hard and dropped straight into that steep descending channel. That kind of reaction isn't a normal pullback, it's a full structure flip. Once price broke the 4121 low with a clean BOS, the bullish story was basically over. Now we're inside a bearish leg that left an FVG sitting unfilled around 4150 to 4180, and that gap is unfinished business for price. Right now price is already sitting down near 4007, so chasing it from here is a weak risk to reward setup. I'd rather sit on hands and wait for a retrace back into that 4150 to 4180 zone, watch how price reacts on the lower timeframes once it gets there, and look for a sell coming from premium back into discount. If that reaction shows up, the first liquidity pool sits just below 4023, and that's the easy first target. The bigger draw though is 3925, that's old liquidity stacked with a psychological round number, and with momentum still pointing down it's a realistic target if sellers stay in control through this leg. Invalidation here is straightforward. A solid H1 close back above 4180 paired with structure flipping bullish kills the short term bearish idea. A close back through 4225 to 4250 would wipe out the whole bearish case completely. Are you waiting patiently for that FVG fill before pulling the trigger, or are you already short from current price.
