Two weeks ago, I posted here how being a copywriter in the corporate world is a daily humiliation ritual. Well, I’m here to follow up that I got laid off today. 🤣 In fact, seven of us (copywriters and graphic designers) got laid off today from my team at a major retail company. All that remains is the Creative VP and a motion graphics designer. They’ve decided to move forward with an external agency and use AI. The department is absolutely f*cked with 70 active projects my team was working on.
