Built by the Brickwork Foundation under their Corporate Social Responsibility funds, the restroom has been designed to offer a safe, hygienic, and universally accessible experience for visitors.The modern restroom features a reflective glass façade, natural skylights, adequate ventilation, and CCTV surveillance at the entrance. It also includes ramps and a specialised toilet facility for persons with disabilities and senior citizens.They have also installed a private baby feeding room and diaper-changing station in the women’s section, while the men’s section also includes a diaper-changing facility. A child-friendly handwash station has been installed.The entry to the restroom would be managed through a QR code-based pay-and-use system, with ₹6 payable by each person to support maintenance and cleanliness. The Brickwork Foundation would directly manage the facility to ensure high standards of cleanliness, a statement issued by the Department of Horticulture said.“Lalbagh receives around 5,000 visitors on weekdays, nearly 10,000 on weekends and over 40,000 during flower shows. With only seven public toilets previously available across the garden, the new facility fills a major gap with modern facilities similar to developed countries,” said Ibrahim Maigur, Director of Horticulture.Additional Director of Horticulture M.
