ShareYan Diomande has been heavily linked with a move away from RB Leipzig this summer, but the Bundesliga club have other plans.RB Leipzig managing director Marcel Schafer revealed the club plan to keep Yan Diomande for the 2026-27 season.Diomande has received plenty of interest from top European clubs, with Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool reportedly battling for the 19-year-old's signature. The winger directly contributed to 20 goals (12 goals, eight assists) in 33 Bundesliga games in 2025-26, a tally bettered only by Harry Kane (41), Michael Olise (34), Luis Diaz (29), Deniz Undav (25) and Christoph Baumgartner (21).Diomande, however, completed the most dribbles (118 – 50 more than any other player) and take-on-ending carries (104 – 29 more than any other player). He has also made an impressive start to the 2026 World Cup, helping Ivory Coast reach the knockout stage for the first time in their history. Diomande became only the second African player on record (from 1966) to complete 10+ dribbles (10) and create 10+ chances (10) in a single World Cup group stage, after South Africa's Quinton Fortune in 2002.Indeed, he was the first player to do so for any nation in the groups alone since Brazil's Neymar in 2018.Despite the interest in Diomande, Leipzig insist they have no intention of selling the teenager this summer."Our clear intention is for Yan Diomande to play for RB Leipzig next season. And we're not going to deviate from that. We know exactly what we have in him," Schafer told BILD."Of course, if Yan continues to develop the way he has, the time will come when we’ll allow him to take the next step – but not this year."If we don’t find a solution, then we don’t find one – but he still has a four-year contract. So let me emphasise this once again: Yan Diomande will remain a Leipzig player."Yan Diomande has been heavily linked with a move away from RB Leipzig this summer, but the Bundesliga club have other plans.RB Leipzig managing director Marcel Schafer revealed the club plan to keep Yan Diomande for the 2026-27 season.Diomande has received plenty of interest from top European clubs, with Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool reportedly battling for the 19-year-old's signature.
