Shambolic Scenes Again at Tattersalls Book 1 with Frankel Colt Selling to Coolmore for 4,000,000gns

Wait 5 sec.

For the third time in five years at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, the Shamardal mare Shambolic delivered a lucrative windfall for the team at Newsells Park Stud, with her Frankel colt setting tongues wagging during Wednesday's session of Book 1 when purchased by MV Magnier and White Birch Farm for 4 million gns.Lot 237 is a full-brother to the G1 Fillies' Mile heroine Ylang Ylang, who was the first offspring of Shambolic to go through the ring at Park Paddocks when bought by Magnier and White Birch Farm for 1.5 million gns in 2022. He is also a half-brother to this year's G3 Nell Gwyn Stakes third Act Of Kindness (Siyouni), who was a 3.7 million gns purchase by Godolphin in 2024.“He is a lovely horse,” Magnier said of the Frankel colt. “In fairness to Newsells, they do a great job. They have bred a lot of good horses and we bought his sister [Ylang Ylang] off them a few years ago. She's a very good filly and is in foal to Justify. Aidan and dad were here the other day and they liked him a lot. Happy to get him.”He added of the competition with Godolphin, “Isn't it great that Sheikh Mohammed is here? He gives a lot to this industry and we are lucky to have him here. That's the way I see it.”The post Shambolic Scenes Again at Tattersalls Book 1 with Frankel Colt Selling to Coolmore for 4,000,000gns appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
