Godolphin globetrotter Nations Pride (Teofilo), a four-time winner at the top level in three different countries, has been purchased to embark on a stallion career at Sohna Stud in India in 2027. The deal was brokered by Ajay Anne of New Approach Bloodstock.Trained by Charlie Appleby, Nations Pride was successful twice from three starts as a two-year-old, before making the breakthrough at the top level at three when following a near miss in the Belmont Derby with a decisive success in the Saratoga Derby. The son of Teofilo then won the GIII Jockey Club Derby Invitational Stakes to cap a productive summer on American soil.At four, Nations Pride won both the Grosser Dallmayr-Preis – Bayerisches Zuchtrennen and Canadian International, with his final top-level victory coming at five when he won the Arlington Million Stakes at Colonial Downs.
