Radu Dragusin’s agent Florian Menia, who loves giving interviews, has now spoken about his client’s goal after being let go by Tottenham.Dragusin completed a loan with a £21.4m obligation to Fiorentina, two and a half years on from swapping Genoa for Tottenham. The 24-year-old’s progress at Spurs was also interrupted by an ACL injury, which sidelined him for nearly a year, with the centre-back finding it difficult to force himself back into the team following his return.Dragusin sent a heartfelt message to everyone at Tottenham on sealing an exit, admitting he was always proud to wear the badge, but his agent has not been so polite to his former employers.(Credit @thefrederikkejensen / Instagram)Radu Dragusin’s agent says defender wants to play at a higher level than TottenhamThe Romanian is now looking to get his career back on track in Serie A, the competition where he first made a name for himself. However, Manea has now revealed that the centre-back’s goal is to be playing at an even higher level than Spurs in a few years, after being let go by the North London club.Dragusin’s agent told Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness): “I know, and I’ve said so publicly, that at some point he will return to his previous market value; the offers and interest that existed before his injury will return, and we want to move to a club at a higher level than Tottenham.“But that isn’t the main thing. He wants to play for Fiorentina. We’ll see what happens in two or three years, but I don’t think he will leave Fiorentina before two years have passed, under any circumstances.”Manea insists Dragusin is doing well despite Fiorentina’s strugglesIt has been a difficult start to the new campaign for the Viola, who sit just two points and places clear of the relegation zone after three games. However, Manea is satisfied with how Dragusin has performed after being sidelined so long with an injury, and he believes the best is yet to come from the former Tottenham man.Manea added about his client: “He is doing very well in Florence. Naturally, when we decided to return to Italy, we knew why we were doing it; we wanted him to stay, not just be there on loan. Radu is a sensible young man with above-average intelligence; he is willing to work hard and make sacrifices. That is why I have never doubted his quality.”“I’ve never had any doubts, and I’m certain he will come back stronger than before because he is better prepared and more motivated. He managed to make the best of a terrible situation—his injury—and moved forward; I have no concerns about his future. Let’s not forget how old Radu Drăgușin is, though.“He is 24 years old and has his whole career ahead of him; as a centre-back, players usually reach maturity around age 26 or 27. “He already has two Premier League seasons under his belt, won the Europa League and the Coppa Italia with Juventus, and even played in the European Championship—and he is still very young.”READ MORE: Barcelona want to poach Pedro Porro from Tottenham and Chelsea could help themThe post ‘Higher level than Tottenham’ – Radu Dragusin’s outspoken agent takes a dig at Spurs appeared first on Spurs Web.
