Do Some Legacy Tree Options Go Against the "Approachable" Pillar?

Wait 5 sec.

Picture how low-level dungeons look in a year for a new player. Being 5 levels ahead in talents feels like having heirloom gear. It's very strong and for a lot of us on the beta who have played versions of this game forever(pun) it's fun, even. The thing to consider is that something like this that increases the gap between a new player and a legacy alt creates extra separation between new players and the rest of the community. I haven't even mentioned the effect this one legacy option will have on the battleground brackets. Some of the milder options in the legacy tree, like raising the rested xp cap, are fine, but in general I fear the system might be too much. Isn't mailing gold to an alt a strong enough legacy? In order for the game to remain approachable to new players, I wonder if we might need to minimize how separated they are from other characters that are the same level as them. Absolutely loving the beta and can't wait for full launch. Looking to see how others feel about this. submitted by /u/Heshack to r/classicwow [link] [comments]
