Chennai Metro timings: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 15-km Poonamallee-Vadapalani stretch of Chennai Metro Phase II on Sunday, alongside Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay. Built at a cost of around Rs 4,900 crore, the route has 11 elevated stations and a 3.7-km double-decker structure. Passenger services began on October 11, with regular operations scheduled from 7 am to 9 pm from October 12.
