I requested endorsement of my license in Texas in January and have never heard back from the board. Then, finally, the board reached out to me requesting: 'Hands-on clinical learning experiences in the following nursing content areas: maternal/infant nursing and psychiatric mental health applicant did not complete any clinical hours in an acute care clinical setting for pediatrics, and the facilities listed for maternal/child and mental health do not provide services that would allow the student to achieve the necessary competencies related to the care of these individuals, as required in 215.2(10) & 215.10(g)(3)'. The facilities did not offer psychiatric care for maternal and pediatric populations. It served a mix of populations, from youth to the elderly. Should I return to school to complete those deficiencies? I really need this RN endorsement, or they probably won't let me sit for the FNP board exam.
