I built a receipt scanner for freelancers solo, and launched it on the App Store with no audience. Here is what I'm doing about it.

Wait 5 sec.

I'm a solo developer in Ajman, UAE. A few months ago I shipped Keipr, an iOS app that scans a receipt with AI and files it as an expense, so freelancers can stop fighting spreadsheets at tax time. It exports clean CSV records and handles UAE VAT, which most expense apps skip. The free plan gives you 10 expenses and 5 AI scans a month. Pro is $4.99/month. The honest problem: launching was the easy part. Nobody knows it exists. When I asked AI search tools about my own app, they found nothing. So this month I built a proper website, set up search indexing, and started listing it in directories. I'd love two things from you: If you freelance, what is the most annoying part of tracking expenses today? Anything on the site that looks confusing or untrustworthy? https://getkeipr.com Built with Expo and React Native, Supabase, RevenueCat and the Claude API. Happy to answer questions about any of it. submitted by /u/studd_james [link] [comments]
