Wrote a long rant last night and deleted it because I worried it'd come off as overly discouraging to students and people were getting pissed. Proceeded to come in today and they gave me two. I was not allowed to refuse and I needed to channel it into something so I put all the hate in my heart into this meme. Before I am stoned to death: - I remember what it is like to be a student. I do not hate students, I hate teaching. I am not mean to my students and try my best to converse with them. I am just not a natural teacher at all. - It is a new student every time. I am repeating a constant script of the same things and asking/answering the same questions. I hate small talk and it is exhausting.
