Warning: Mild spoilers for Ted Lasso season 4.Ted Lasso season 4 left fans with a bittersweet ending that saw several of its storylines wrapped up in a tidy bow, leading fans to wonder if the Apple TV show is due for another installment. After all, there are still a few questions that need to be answered: Will the show’s titular coach continue his journey with the Lady Greyhounds? And how will the team fare with a new head coach? Here’s everything we know about Ted Lasso season 5.Has Ted Lasso been renewed for season 5?No, not yet—but an interview with the show’s lead, Jason Sudeikis, did hint that there could be more to come from the show.In the actor’s July 2026 feature for The Hollywood Reporter, the outlet noted that “if all goes according to plan, the Lasso team will be back in the writers room in late August mapping out a not-yet-ordered season 5. There are still ideas that [the show’s writers] haven’t used from the Ojai retreat, and Sudeikis’s Notes app remains a well of material. Once again, Sudeikis has a three-season arc in mind, and he’s hopeful that the audience will still be there.”Who is in the cast? There have been no confirmed cast members for season 5 because there hasn’t been a renewal yet, but fans would no doubt want to see Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Tanya Reynolds, Abbie Hern, Faye Marsay, Jude Mack, Rex Hayes, and Aisling Sharkey back in their roles. What has the cast said about Ted Lasso season 5 so far?In an October interview with Decider, Reynolds noted that she had no idea where her character, Alice Chilton, could end up in a potential fifth season of Ted Lasso. “We have no idea. There’s obviously so much potential, so many possibilities…” she said. She does, however, have some hopes for her character.“We’d be so interested in a flashback to our Arsenal days,” Reynolds added. “We can get to the bottom of the beef. But also, I saw a clip of you guys playing football, and you all look so cool, and I feel jealous that I don’t get to play football. I’m grateful I don’t get to play football, because if I did, it would be horrendous and I would be a laughing stock, but you did all look very cool, so I’m like maybe…”“I want to see Alice in a kit, though. Just for a minute,” Hern, who stars as Gemma Jay, said. “Yeah, so I could put one shot of Alice kicking the ball. Even if it has to be my head CGI’d onto someone else’s body.”
