EURUSD 1H — Liquidity Sweep and Two ScenariosEUR/USDOANDA:EURUSDfacelesstradersogFundamental Overview EURUSD is mainly driven by the policy gap between the ECB and the Federal Reserve, along with incoming US economic data. The chart shows several high-impact USD and EUR events marked between October 13 and 16, so the coming days may bring elevated volatility, fast moves and fakeouts around releases. In recent sessions the US dollar has shown strength, pushing the pair from the 1.1240 area down to about 1.1150. Data that weakens rate-cut expectations would tend to support the dollar, while softer data would tend to support the euro. This is a general framework, so please verify it against your own economic calendar. Technical Analysis (Smart Money Concepts) Market structure: Price fell from the 1.1277 high (October 7) with lower highs and lower lows. A bearish break of structure occurred through the 1.1179–1.1170 area. The current bounce has not yet produced a confirmed bullish CHoCH, so the higher-timeframe structure remains bearish. Liquidity: Sell-side liquidity below roughly 1.1150 was swept, followed by a reaction higher. Buy-side liquidity rests above prior highs near 1.1200–1.1240. Key zones: Upper zone (about 1.1179–1.1180): prior support turned resistance, a potential supply area or bearish order block that price is now approaching. Lower zone (about 1.1169–1.1170): short-term support from which price has bounced. 1.1201 level: a hold above it would shift the structure in favor of buyers. FVG and Premium/Discount: Fair value gaps from the recent bearish leg and the short-term bounce are potential areas for price to revisit. Relative to the larger range (1.1150–1.1277), price sits in the discount half, but relative to the latest bearish leg it is approaching an area where sellers may step in. Scenarios Bullish scenario: A sustained break and hold above the 1.1179–1.1180 zone and the 1.1201 level, with bullish structure confirmation on a lower timeframe, followed by a pullback into a bullish FVG or order block, could open the way toward buy-side liquidity near 1.1230 and 1.1270. Bearish scenario: A rejection from the 1.1179–1.1180 zone, followed by a break and close below 1.1169, could lead price back toward the 1.1150 low and, if that breaks, toward the 1.1120–1.1100 area. Invalidation: The bearish scenario weakens if price holds above 1.1201. The bullish scenario weakens on a break and close below 1.1150.
