I've been building www.pkmnprices.com since April. It tracks about 71,000 cards across 740 sets with daily prices from TCGplayer and Cardmarket plus eBay sold listings, and you can keep your collection on it. The part I enjoyed most is the scanner. Point your phone at a card and it finds the match. A CLIP model turns each card image into a vector, the vectors sit in Postgres with pgvector, and the search itself takes about 0.7 ms in my local tests. I searched an index of 7,873 English cards with 250 synthetic phone photos: the right card came first 92% of the time and in the top five 98%. Synthetic photos are easier than real ones, so expect worse. Most misses are reprints with identical art, like energies and Rare Candy. Stack is a Rust API, Postgres, Go scrapers and Next.js on Cloudflare Workers. The site is free, scanning is 20 a day on the free plan, and the API has a free tier. Feedback on any of it is welcome: the site, the scanner or the API. submitted by /u/preaverage_ [link] [comments]
