In British Columbia, Canada renters with a problem are told to “read the RTA” or “search RTB decisions”. The Act is dense, and the decision database is hard to search unless you already know the legal terms. In the video I type “landlord kept part of my deposit because the carpet wasn’t cleaned”. It returns the RTB guideline that covers carpets, section. 38 of the Act on returning deposits, and a 2026 decision on exactly that dispute. Every result links to the official source. Stack: Next.js on Vercel, FastAPI on Cloud Run, MongoDB Atlas, Voyage AI embedding and reranker models. Ontario and Alberta law search also work. It’s free and non-commercial: no ads, no accounts. Feedback welcome. submitted by /u/SnooOranges7061 [link] [comments]
